Brass Impeller Housing vs Plastic

PWC guys,
I need a new Impeller housing for my 97 Seadoo boat(dual motor). Which the housings I have are plastic w/aluminum inserts. If I order one new it's part number 295500429. I've been told that the older brass housing are better to go with because of their strength. Is there any downside to brass over plastic? I'm asking you guys because I think there were more brass housings on the PWCs then the boats.
Also, did they ever make a full aluminum housing at any point?

I have the brass on my boat. They weigh a little more and work great. Got them used for like $200 for both of them. They are stronger than the plastic ones.
