Brand New Battery

So i just bought a new deka agm battery last week i charged it at 2 amps straight out of the box so it would be good ya know. I used it once out and i had some starting trouble with my ski not battery related, but i wanted to make sure it would be 100% for tomorrow so i figured i'd charge it. It had 12 volts before i charged it and an a few hours after i took it off the charger it only has 8 volts. Is it junk?

Something doesnt sound right there. Take it back to where you got it and have them test it.

I will tomorrow but i through it back on the charger for the night just to make sure.

Just because it's a good brand, doesn't mean that they don't make a bad one once in a while.

so i didn't think anything of it when i bought it but the battery had the screws in the terminals already and when i brought it back they gave me a new baterry the screws were in a package. Those guys sold me a used battery that someone else must have returned you believe that?
