will another bow seat backrest fit my 95 sportster? I found one from a 97 challenger on the net will it fit with some mods?

No, you need a 95-96 speedster, or 95+ sportster one. After 95 I think the mounting system is different, but the shape is the same. The CHal one and 97 and up speedster are too different form yours.

If you don't mind sharing since you can't use it, what color is the 97 challenger backrest? Mine is looking poor these days.
