I went to look at a 1997 SPX and found a 1997 GTX on the way home. What do you guys think on this, good deal? 2 owner ski with 188 hours. Just had all the exhaust gaskets replaced, the fuel lines appear to be clear, not sure what they were replaced with, see pics, any help on what type of lines these are would be great. Always ran synthetic XPS oil in it. No tears in seat, some marks in the hull but not bad for 20 year old ski. 150 PSI with Snap On compression gauge. Gauges work fine but the beeper does not, need to find it and replace it. I don't think I need to do much to this one except replace the old oil lines over the winter but I am going to take it out and give it a run today I think and see what it can do.

Paid 1500 for ski and trailer.

Is the Beeper still under the handle bar cover on this ski?

Thanks

Nice ski. Yes, the beeper is under the handle bar cover. I just went to Radio Shack and bought a cheap 12v beeper to replace mine. Works great. Where do you ride in Pittsburgh?

Looks clean. You did well on your deal. I'd just change the pump oil, check the wear ring, and "let-er rip, tater chip!"

The ski has a good smooth ride and my wife likes the reverse feature on it to give her better control at the dock. It has a nice long base that handles the rougher water well.

I really enjoy mine and they are easy to work on. Plenty of room inside and easy to remove the fuel baffle if needed.

I am a native of Pittsburgh. I know that area you are talking about. I used to boat on the Allegheny up near Springdale and at East Brady. Good luck with the new ski. You picked a good one.

Anyone have any idea what type of fuel lines these are in the pics I posted. They have a blueish tint to them?

It was green like yours when I bought it and the wife didn't like the green!
