Bog after spin

Well after a couple weeks of sorting out fuel problems on my 99 xpl, I had it out all weekend and it worked great. Having not run it for 10 years it really brought back some great feelings and memories of race days gone by. The only issue I had was after doing a jet out spin and then pulling up in a wheelie at stop after it comes up perfect it seems to bog out and almost fall over to the side. I'm not sure what might be causing the issue, any ideas?? It doesn't bog out another time and it pulls up great afternoon the spin, right up on end then flops so to speak. This would be with the throttle squeezed open.

Definitely the nut behind the wheel!

Forgive me, I couldn't resist and freely admit I have no idea. ;)

Okay I'm back... If the BOG is a rich condition, might be HS venturi nozzle drip? Have another look at pop-off but AFAIK 99 carbs are horizontal butterfly shaft that don't tend to nozzle drip like the vertical butterfly shaft mounted with fuel chamber on top carbs sometimes (ok, often) did.

Shooting from the hip here but if all else fails and you suspect rich condition due to HS nozzle drip, I'd tighten up the pop-off by a pound or three, especially if it's on the low side. Next size up, spring?

Lol I'm still a big kid at heart If it was running rich wouldn't there be more signs other than dying only when I pull up after a spin?? It doesn't really ha e a bog anywhere else. But I will have to check the pop off pressure
