boat licence question

hey i have a question about the boat licence,
i have one myself had one since they were mandatory but the rest of my family doesnt. which includes kids from 10-15
1) if they get them now will they ever have to redo the test or is it good forever?
i just wasnt sure because it does have age restrictions but wasnt sure if it means redoing the test

I don't believe you have to redo any test. It's a one time thing. But the test has been revamped and is now harder than it was a couple of years ago.

Alright ya wasn't sure if they set it up like the drivers licence or not with g1 g2.. Etc
