I just bought a 1996 GTX 800 and it is missing a rave power valve. I ordered the valve and now waiting for it to arrive. I decided to try running it without the valves so I tried blocking off the 2 holes with plates. I have not much power until it hits 5000 rpm then it runs fine (top speed 55 mph). I think this would be normal since the valves would normaly open at 5000rpm.
My question is: do you think I can damage the engine without the power valves? anyone ever tried it? thanks
