Guys im looking for an aftermarket billet gas cap. Does anyone know where to purchase? Im looking for 1 or 2, id even consider used ones if someone has one they want to part with.

you likely won't see them on their website's, but just call them and ask, if they don't have it, they might tell you who does.
they're out there, just a bit rare.. and warning, the last one I saw the guy wanted $65 for it....

Just got this one a while ago for $25 on ebay. The fuel selector we got from [MENTION=29781]Spimothy Leary[/MENTION] and it looks great on.

and to the OP, if you strike out on those two i listed... call jet-world.net they have lots of weird stuff that aren't listed on their website....
and based on the pic above..... Obviously you should look up & call lynn vick products

Also forgot to add that i purchased one of the billet fuel knobs from SPIM, and also one from Minnetonka. I gotta tell you guys it worked perfect on my 96xp, but not on my 99spx.
The reason it didnt work is the position of the fuel selector is on the ride hand side and the 96xp is on the bottom side. So basically the knob will actually 'fit' but it doesnt point in the right direction. Thought this would be good info for everyone to know.
I guess i could always get the black fuel trim cover off a 96xp and switch it out so everything lines up.

weird,, but your right.... i'll look around and see if I have any covers... I might have one.. not sure, if I do i'll send it over.
nick's and mine are the from the same supplier, i bought a few and split the order with him.

Ya i agree, i wanna look cool too :thumbsup: just gets a little confusing on whats on/off/reserve
you just file a flat side on the other side of the fuel selector shaft and then it will line up right?

interesting idea, but worried that it would just spin tho, ie: just spin and not turn the selector switch... so think about that before you start filing...
I can't find a fuel selector backplate during my first cursory search... i'll look again over the weekend, and its a shame, I literally just got rid of a 96 xp that we stripped down, and I didn't even think to save the back plate.... left it on the hull....
