Ok, it works if I press the button but otherwise when the battery switch is in OFF position it wont automatically turn on when there's water. How can I fix this? Thnx in advance.

they sell a float switch that glues to the bottom of the hull and connects to the battery and the bilge pump. If I remember right the switch is around $20 I think. it's a quick 5 minute job.

thanks. i see a small black box with a green light connected to the battery...do you know what this is? See, a while back when I switch the battery off or on I could hear a gear like sound then I tried to recharged the battery and that noise stopped. I checked on all fuses but I cant get the sound again. I'm thinking that this is what helped the pump turned on without the battery being on.

I'm not sure what that box is, that boat is too new for me. hopefully one of the guys with a lot more knowledge then me can chime in on that.

If you have a little box attached to the battery it may be a ‘priority start’ (http://www.noflatbatteries.com/) unit.

My boat also had this dealer installed option and I had a similar issue because the battery was drained and the gear activated (not sure what caused it to drain but it hasn't happen again in the last 2 years). This will prohibit the pump from running, until the gear is reactivated and the boat is running (either you charge the battery or follow the priority start instructions to engage the unit).

Again, if it is this, check the battery and the priority start connections. If this is not the case, then someone else may be able to assist.

I had the same issue. The first time they replaced the automatic float. The second time they told me it actually was working but I don't like how high the water gets before it's triggered. Try filling your ski locker with a hose to see if it does eventually kick in. If not, check the fuse. If not, time for a trip to your dealer (if it's still under warranty).
