I have a sportster but same 215hp motor in RXT, RXP etc.

I had to do 3 things on it today.

1) Fuse was blowing everytime I turned the bilge pump switch on. So I disconnected the bilge automatic sensor, cut the wires and removed. Now only operates manually from switch. works fine now.

2) changed the scoop grate

3) modified to have a pod setup. (see pic)

The other pic is of the airbox with the regulator rectifier attached. But no other sensors I can see.

I started the motor after all this was complete. Idled fine... then I revved it and got a long beep but no lights on dash.

Any thoughts??

Did you unplug the exhaust temp sensor at the muffler and forget to reconnect it ? Easy to forget.

Seems you were right Dennis. I checked the code on buds and it was exhaust temp sender. I hadn't touched it however, but I may have disturbed it somehow when removing the Bilge pump. Took the sensor plug off and it was a little corroded ... so maybe must have just brushed it with my arm/hand and lost contact.

Its all good now. Thanks guys for your input.
