Ok I have the original battery in mine about four years old. Normally I have it in the trickle charger but didn't for a week and a half. I powered up the computer to check gas level. When I got to lack cranked then nothing no juice. Came home put it on the charger until full.

Into ok it to autozone to check.
12.4 V standing first hook up to here machine.
Started it V went to 8 then back up while running between 13-24v

Let sit for few minutes back to 12.4v
Then started again back to 8v and repeat from above.

Came home put it in a trickle charger and after about 5-10min and the trickle charger went into storage mode.
Do you guys think my battery is bad? It looks like a real pain to get out.

If it dropped to 8 volts at any time it needs replaced. While cranking 11.8 ish is the norm. Sitting it will be over 12 volts.

Many options. Vented, AGM, full metal jacket. Bottom line is, don't buy a $50 battery, they just don't hold up. Odyssey is expensive but very good, can easily last 4-5 years. I'm sold on the Odyssey battery myself.

Yeah, screw that. I don't go to the dealer unless it's warranty related. I'd do as Coastiejoe recommended. You can find them on Amazon.com easily.

I went to Batteries + for my RXTX, 2 months ago.

$139 I think for the Duracell 30L, 2 year warranty. Turns out my connections were just a little corroded but the battery in there was 3 years old so I replaced it anyway and kept the old one in the garage. (turned in an old acid 16L as the core)

Most important feature for me was the 24 Month Free Replacement Warranty

Much easier to return to B+ then waiting a week or two to deal with an amazon or online seller IMO.

I was pretty sure I paid $139 - $10 coupon for buying online and picking up.

price is $159 online now.

Will that battery fit into the black case around the battery? Is that battery rated CCA for a GTR 215.
Is it hard to remove- looks like a pita

Mine didn't have a "box" but it should be the same size as stock, even if its taller you just remove the spacer underneath. Not sure on a GTR but for my RXT it was pretty simple, remove the straps, remove the two bolts. Mine is right in front of the engine. Had to twist my elbows a bit to get the right angle but It certainly wasn't difficult, 4 minutes.

(not like my old chrysler 300 where the farking a-hole engineers decided that putting it behind the tire was a good idea..) < I'd like to kick that design guy in the nuts.
