battery cranking amps ????

still having issues with 97 xp starting. engine sat up all winter and half the summer. Now won't turn over with plugs in. New starter, new solenoid, cables ohmed good, getting 11.8 volts at starter when tring to start. New battery. How many cranking amps should the battery have. I can get it to turn over with the plugs in while the battery charger is on boost ( napa heavy duty charger) ....battery has 16 amphr on it .....it it enough....about to pull engine....

Your battery should be a 16clb 19 amp hour.

Never start the ski with battery charger attached and on BOOST!!!!!!!!! You will fry expensive electronics in ski.... You prob got a junk starter. Where did you get starter and how much did you pay for it???

$ 60 on ebay; said it was oem..... will get one from SBT.... also rebuild old starter...Thanks
