My 92 xp has a rear air intake grate. Seems the back of the boat was under water too long (2 people trying to board) and it completely flooded the hull in a matter of minutes. I saw that part of the assembly is coming loose so I am going to epoxy that back to the hull to seal off where I think the majority of the water got in but is this a poor design? Does anyone else with a rear air intake take on water if you take too long to board? even the manual says that water will get in if the rear of the boat is submerged too long. If you board from the back, the pwc drops down pretty close to that grate. Wondering if the problem will go away if I seal that plastic compartment or if it will just slow it down and I may always have problems due to its shear location. thanks
