Hey all, I was wondering if I could get some advice.

Have an 02 GTX DI. Also have an 03 RXDI to use as a comparison.

Original fuel pump in rx with no charging issues and a HFP in the GTX.

9 amps being drawn from hfp fuel pump in gtx and 6 amps from oem, wot.

22 amps being drawn from rectifier in gtx and 18/19 in rx. Have tried all 3 versions of rectifiers el-cheapo, beefy 4-tech, and a brand new oem all with same results. Only getting 12.8 volts at battery at higher rpm.

Stator putting out proper A.C. voltage, have a new after market one installed from OSD. Same issue with original one.

Fuel injector resistances in spec, All fuses good even in back box.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ok, oem pump up and running with the pump drawing 3 amps less than the aftermarket ones. However my rectifier still shows a 22 amp draw and only 12.8 volts at battery. My other DI engine shows a 18 amp draw at the rectifier and 13.5 volts at battery with no charging issue.

It appears as though someone replaced the mpem with one from an RXDI. Should tgat matter and could my mpem be the source of the current draw? I unplugged my gauges with the same results.

Good question.
There are differences. The speed sensors are different and the RXDI has VTS where the GTX doesn’t etc.
As far as engine performance, I am not sure if these type differences would make a difference in charging or engine performance.
