are after market mpem reliable i think i mite need one. i am from northern ireland when i phoned the local ski dealer he told that he has had a few skis in his shop that people have bought parts from america and the do not work.

Don't have any personal experience with them... but they seem to be "Hit or Miss." I've seen reports about good and bad. Personally, I would shop for a used one. If you look on ebay, and you get a seller with very good feedback (99.8% to 100%) I would say that you could trust the part, and what the seller tells you about it.
