advise on winterizing 95 spx that will not start or turn over

Since I can't spin the engine over to help push the water from the system, I was wondering if there is a spot I can input some antifreeze. It will be a spring project now.

If the engine is locked up there is not much point in winterizing it as something is already damaged.

is it hydrolocked or seized - if it's hydrolocked you can fix that pretty easy - take the spark plugs out and turn that sucker over. If it's seized - not sure what could be protected - the engine is already locked - either top or bottom end; what is being protected?

IMO - no reason to protect a locked up engine.

Do you know why it's seized?

You don't need to run these engines to winterize them. The owners manual will tell you where to pour the antifreeze. You can get the owners manual from BRP's website.

Although I think this would make a much better winter project than rushing in the spring to get it fixed for the season.

I found two of the screws missing from around the screen over the top of the carbs, I cannot find them. So I think they dropped thru carb into the engine. Damn shame too, I finally had it running pretty good. Jet pumps and carbs just rebuilt. Won't turn over by hand or starter , with plugs removed...I haven't taken off that plate that the carbs attach to yet to determine the damage. I would love to do it over the winter but my garage is filled with other projects and work repairs to be done. Right now I am building a 302 for my 67 mustang.
Thanks for the link to the manual. What I elected to do because I wasn't sure where to "pinch off" the incoming water line, the manual wasn't very clear. I removed the water lines and used a powerful vacuum and removed bout a gallon of water from them. I do commercial cleaning and own some really great wet/dry vacs.
Just in case the damage isn't too god awful bad, I wanted to winterize it so I at least wouldn't have to deal with a cracked block. I love these old ski's as they are much more squirley is a good word. The newer bigger hulls seem like they are harder to manipulate. Thanks for the replies and everybody have fun with your winter stuff.

Vacuuming the lines should get almost all the water out of the cylinders.
If it was mine I would pull the head and vacuum all the water out of the cylinder water jackets and put a little oil in the cylinders. This will be the best bet for when you actually pull it apart later in the year and the head has to come off anyways.
