Adding Sponsons on a '93 SP

Anybody tried adding sponsons from a 94 up SP/XP to an earlier SP? Is it worth the trouble and how much did it affect performance?

here is a good, (real good) set of sponsons that can be adjusted from novice to raceing, barrel (bouy) racers use alot, and will corner real tight, you will have to get used to em (lol) they also sell intake grates

Thanks Griz, but don't really want to spend that much. Only got $365 in the ski & the trailer. Was hoping someone had tried the later model OEM sponsons on the '93 & earlier models. Anybody tried this?

Never tried...but I have some black ones off a 96 XP for $35.

Getting the holes perfectly matched on both side wouldnt be easy.

I don't think it would be too hard to make a template on one side, then reverse it on the other, matching the back corners. May give it a shot.
