Acceleration issue

I have two identical spx units that are having acceleration issues. They work fine for 5 minutes and then hey bogg down and cut out. On full throttle they won't go over 5 mph. I have replaced the fuel lines already. Since it's happening on both units do you think it's a bad gas issue? Any other suggestions or ideas?

Thanks

First and foremost, If you had the gray fuel lines then you need to rebuild the carburetors and replace or clean the fuel selector valve.

Check the O ring on the fuel strainer and make sure it's not pinched or cross threaded

Also, check the fuel tank vent check valves to make sure they are working correctly and not clogged up.

Did you put aftermarket "in line" filters on those skis? I did this to my SPI and chased the problem for a number of rides and one weekend. Mine would run longer (1hr) but when it decided to stop... all it would do was idle. I removed the the filter and it ran great. Look for something common and simple. There is a benefit to working on and owning two of the same skis. I have that with our GTXs. I am still fighting to get smooth acceleration from off idle to 5k rpm. LOL It's not all that bad but I want better. I ride skis that pull pretty good when you get on the throttle from low RPM. Funny thing... I worked on them too. LOL Go figure. Good Luck man !

Of course you already checked the gas filter although with a clogged gas filter I believe the issue would be constant from startup?

Benji.
