So much cleaner than the cradle and so much easier than the fiberglass in the front mount.

You might want to smooth out the ground out area in front of the front mounts and reinforce it a little. The inner hull there is very prone to crack there even on a stock HX.

I gotta say, this is the first I've ever heard this. Where did you read this?

I read it quite a few times on the SBT forum and I think X20 the surf forum and mine is cracking there. Maybe it's just a surf thing. I guess the battery boxes rip out too and someone replaced mine as well.

very cool guys! my first hx 787 had that tube craddle. The Factory pipe was so bashed in it didnt make sense. This third one I have came with that one pictured ^^^^^ with flat stock... fits nice!

Seadoodoc sent me a video of his flat stock adapter plate set up so I could get some ideas for my set up.

Well we worked on the ski last weekend and i finished some stuff up this weekend.. A little late on the update lol. Anyways last weekend we got the motor set in there and fully aligned. It was quite easy to align it and didn't take us much time to get it perfect. after that we dropped in a Skat pump with a 16/23 swirl. We also got the custom carbon fiber sponsons on which came out sweet!. This weekend I got the nozzle setup bolted up with a modified HX manual trim. Nozzles are Skat trak with removal rings. After that i got the Spec 2 bolted up with the "short race" chamber. I wanted to keep the raw aluminum look since It contrast pretty good with the black/purple motor. Also welded the battery mount up and installed battery. All it needs now is plumbing, fuel system, carbs, and electronics and then we can smell the sweet 114 octane burning in the air!

Got a little work done this weekend. Used the fuel selector hole for my button primer. Cut out some carbon fiber washers to hold it in. Nice and clean just what i wanted, plus every ounce of weight savings counts lol! Also did another race fuel order. I already had race fuel but i use it for my race car so i needed some more for this season. The sweet smell of C14 is the ticket! Always tell the wifey I'm going to use it for cologne :)

Last 5 gall of c14 i bought was 70 bucks hope you got a better deal

So guys the past couple weeks me and Matt have been quite busy. We got all the electrical, fuel system, and water routing done in one day. I took it back home and got the exhaust system finished up. fired it up for the first time last Tuesday. Very snappy is an understatement for this thing. I bought a high dollar lithium battery since a normal agm was struggling with the high compression. My brand new UMI clone from J-rod arrived Friday so i installed it and buttoned up the loose ends. Yesterday we took it out on the water for the first time. Matt might have a video of that. It went quite well and break in is almost done. Almost ready to get crazy with this ski!

The boat is running really well. It sounds incredible and we were hitting the rev limiter at 7500 rpm!

Maybe, we have to find some flat water and get a top speed. I don't want to give up any of that grunt either. I have smaller nozzle rings that could bring the revs down if needed. I could also run a separate water injection system and switch to the MSD Enhanser for more rev potential, now it's on a 96XP grey box with the Micro Touch that came in the Spec 2 kit originally.

Well as Matt said the ski is running fantastic. We have had it out quite a few times now and keeps getting better every time! The low end power on this thing is quite impressive. Running 114 octane fuel temps never reached over 950 degrees at WOT. It reaches 7500rpm almost instantly. Maybe we can put some more power to the ground or rev it out more with different ignition to keep off the rev limiter. Here is a small video of us testing last weekend.

Yeah thanks I'm pretty proud of it. The sound is amazing. People around the park always ask what the heck is under the hood.

Now Zack needs to go ride it in the chop till he's too tired to hand on several times. Gotta practice deep water re-boarding also, it's gonna come in handy.
