So I bought this 99XP with a new motor and I premixed the oil and gas like I was supposed to, 40:1. The fuel tank was NOT completely EMPTY but was on "E" SO I put 5 gallons of fuel and mixed it with 16oz of OIL like SBT told me since its an SBT motor, I took it out yesterday and nothing but BOGGING and barely any power. So does it tell you that there was more oil than fuel in the motor? My plugs are prob fouled but ill be fouling them every min, so what should I do as of now? How hard it is to drain everything out of the gas tank (which I really dont want to do). Does it just sound like I have more oil and ALOT MORE, what if I just put a gallon on straight fuel??

well, how long was the fuel sitting in the tank? Not to insult your intelligence, but when gasoline sits, the chemical composition actually changes. This leads to gum and varnish deposits in the fuel system and these can clog up gas lines, carbs, and filters.
Additionally, did you change out your grey fuel lines? This is a MUST-DO step...no IFs, ANDs, or BUTs! The ethanol in our fuel breaks down the glue inside those grey lines and wreaks f***ing havoc on the system! This was the cause of my problems when I purchased mine.
There are several GREAT write ups, complete with pics, here that walk you step-by-step through cleaning your system out if that is what you need to do.

40:1 is the correct ratio change your plugs ang see how it runs and as said above gray fuel lines are a big problem if they are grey then you will need to replace them and clean the carbs

Ya and usually anytime a new motor is put in its good to have the Carbs rebuilt. Were they? What you should of done is say u have a 12 gallon tank is fill it completely full and then put the oil in for the amount of a full gas tank.

which grey lines? Do you have a link for this write-up, im going to find out if the carbs have been rebuilt, do you think i have more fuel or oil which is causing my bogging, I took the plugs out and they were wet

if there are ANY grey colored hoses that carry fuel under your hood, rip them out and replace them with black automotive grade hoses. The less expensive black hoses will work fine with the fuel pressures we encounter.
All the info is right here on this website...you just have to look for it.

This is one of the best write-ups I've seen...kudos to JPX for including pics!
I have no idea (and neither do you) what ratio premix the last owner had in that tank so its impossible to tell if its too much or not enough. Brandon answered that one for you!
Take the time to read-read-read...you've already started in the right place by coming here!
Please let us know how it turns out after you attempt each step so others can follow YOUR particular steps and maybe it will help somebody down the road!
