Hello,
So I bit the bullet and am getting my engine rebuilt. I fried one of the pistons, so this new to me ski is getting a total makeover.

I have already rebuilt the carbs, but I will pull them apart again to double check.
So now that I have the engine out, And everything is easily accessible, what would you all recommend I change? I have plenty of time (won’t get this in the water until spring) and I’d prefer to never have to pull the engine again(although I have now learned how to do it and it wasn’t that bad. )
Here are the things I am considering. Let me know what you think.
Replace oil lines from pump to engine.
Replace all pulse lines to rave solenoid (when I took out the engine, I found that the pulse line leading to the solenoid had burst before the check valve.)

Carbon Seal (just thought that while it was easy to pull
Replace the gear oil in impeller (just cuz it is easy access)
Fuel selector ( this ski had automotive fuel lines when I got it. Not sure if they replaced the selector as well. )
Starter (not sure about this one. It started fine. I just found some nicks on the starter gear teeth. Nothing major)
I’d appreciate your thoughts!
