Can't seem to get this thing to idle in water or in driveway for more than about 5 mins without overheating. I just bought it (knew it had issues) and am trying to troubleshoot. When you hook up the hose to it, it does push the water back out, so water flow is present? It does seem to be legitimately overheating (block is HOT). Took off the exhaust manifold, but don't see anything alarming. There is another connector cast piece that goes from the exhaust into the block. Backed 6 bolts out, but cannot get it free. How many bolts should there be? I have a manual, but it doesn't seem to address the issue. I'm thinking maybe there is a clog in that intake somewhere, but can't seem to get it off to compare. I'm also going to need new exhaust manifold gaskets, can someone recommend a supplier?

TIA

Dave

"parts" tab at top right, or parkeryamaha.com.

Pull all the waterlines off the inlet spigots and shoot compressed air in. Pull the water regulator lines off (black cap w/red dot on muffler) and shoot air thru them. Got a clog somewhere, bro.

Well, I found it. Blockage was inside the cylinder head. Tried to take the 90 off the cylinder head to clear and the whole head cover sheared right off. That's my luck. $250 later I should be good to go. Sigh....
