Ok heres the scenario, just bought a 1999 Seadoo GTI 720, Ive been rooting around inside trying to find the electrical problem for 2 days now. Ive gotten power to the MPEM finally. However, I get no beeps with the lanyard on. The only indication I have is the Oil light is on. Ive checked all fuses, redone most of the wire connections as they were corroded. I installed a newer Solenoid in the rear and redone the ground connections on the stator and motor bolt. Though I havent ruled out the possibility of a broken beeper or wrong lanyard, is there any other cause for no beeps and a oil light?

Hoping I didnt buy a 400 dollar flotation device :ack:

advance mode

hit te start button 5 times, then you here some beeps, if no beeps, then definetly broken beeper, (replacement at radio shack for 10 buks). I'd purchase one if thats the case, then proceed to advance mode. It could be, like you said, a bad/unprogrammed landyard.

Yes, I tried the start button 5 times and didnt get anything, I will definately run to radioshack today and try one out. Im also going to the dealer to see if they can program the lanyard now that I have power to the front MPEM. Hopefully Ill get her turning over today, I appreciate the feedback!
