99 gsx rfi
My ski keeps shutting down while riding on the water. Riding along and it just shuts down. The clock still maintains its time. It will start back up and maybe run for a little bit but will shut down again.
I have replaced the post, tried three different keys, new battery, new start button, inspected the battery cables, checked the grounds. No warnings appear on the info center.
It also shut down while I was flushing it after the ride.
What's happening?
The rectifier was replaced last season. The plugs were just replaced before this ride. BR8ES.
Compression test on both cylinders 155-158 in both cylinders.
Voltmeter connected to battery before test 12.95v
Voltmeter connected to battery at idle 13.55v
Voltmeter connected to battery @3340rpm 13.60v
Voltmeter connected to battery engine off at rest after the test 13.19v
I have checked connections at starter (new starter two seasons ago) --good
I have checked ground connections-- good
Any more suggestions?
Thanks for your help.
I'm open to all that are willing to help. Thanks
