Having issues getting My jetski to turn over. Replaced battery, relay, all cables and rebuilt starter. At first it was one click noise suggesting weak battery had a new one replaced . Now im getting clunk nosies in starter repeatedly and it wont crank. When i bench tested starter it spun great but in the ski it wont ..any ideas ?

See if it will spin with the spark plugs out. check to see if you can turn motor over by hand at PTO. If not, you may have a locked motor or pump. You can pull the pump off quickly to check which it is.

It was turning before i had to rebuild starter also without plugs so dont think its locked motor . Still doesnt turn With plugs out now...do i need to remove anything to access this pto?

If you can see the shaft anywhere, you can try and turn by hand with the plugs out.

What caused the starter rebuild? From what we know so far, I’m suspect of the starter if the engine would turn before the rebuild. But then again. How can we be sure if the starter quit working. Was it because of bad starter or something had the engine/drive train locked up? Give us a little history.
