99 GSX limited and DESS

Just picked up a pair of 99 GSX limited 951 machines.. Need a ton of work, but just found that I do not have a lanyard for either. Was doing some research and found that I may have an issue with DESS.. haven’t owned a ski in a while so this DESS thing is all new to me. Anyone know anymore info? Am I going to have a issue with finding a lanyard? Currently these skis are a train wreck and I’ll be completing total rebuilds

You can either spend the money on a CandooPro and program them yourself or for $80 each you can send the computers to Westside Powersports Seadoo to program new lanyards.

The lanyards are about $40 each. The way it works is the lanyard has a set special code so the ski computer is programmed to recognize that specific code and each computer can have multiple codes stored so you can use the same lanyards on both of your skis.
