RESTO 99 951 gtx rebuild

My buddy and I just rebuilt the 951 seadoo that we blew a piston on. New rings and pistons all installed properly, new fuel lines and spark plugs. We got it started for a few seconds before we shut it off in the shop. The day later we took it to the lake, it will fire for a second or 2 only one time but then the rest of the time it seems like it wants to go but never does. Took the spark plugs out to make sure there’s spark, there is. We also inspected the plugs and found that in the same cylinder that melted before, was dry as a whistle. It is the cylinder closest to the rear of the jetski. Now what we are wondering is if there is a way to prime the fuel system or if there is something We can do to figure out why this plug isn’t seeing any fuel (as far as we know). And keep in mind that these carbs were just rebuilt this season.

No but I was there when they were rebuilt. My neighbor grew up doing small engine carbs and has done ski carbs before so I trusted it’d be done right. Didn’t seem too hard after I saw it done.

REmove the carbs and go thrugh them. The tiny passages are clogged. Then clean the tiny passages again and then clean them again.

After doing that, clean the tiny passages again.

Compression? Sounds like a story where a wrist pin container clip jumped out on you or the Rave valves were not trimmed to the larger pistons or something.
