I have a 98 sportster 1800 with a cracked tuned pipe assembly, wanted to know if this is a diy repair. I have done numerous rebuilds carbs, throttle cables on this boat. Also good place to pick up used parts the sku number is 27400487

thanks for the response...that is exactly where the crack is. gonna try the JB-weld. will let you know how it turns out...

new problem engine reving

jb-weld worked great. no more leak.

new problem this past weekend idling then shut down then restarted okay but when to throttle up port side engine loud reving vibration. shut down then restarted same... limped to dock on other engine checked to see if and thing blocking impeller, nothing found. after 1 hour restarted and engaged no problems. took out of water but unsure if this is more serious problem

Keep in mind that JB weld is only a temporary repair. It must be welded.
Something got stuck on your impeller and washed free before you had a chance to inspect it.
