98 GTS..felt like prop was slipping

I took the ski for a spin tonight. When I first left the launch it seemed like the prop was slipping. It didn't have any torque. I could barely plane. I was able to get it going and after a mile or so it was fine. No issues. Any ideas what I could be experiencing?

CAVITATION..... Check prop and wear ring and driveshaft seal. Download manual and read.

If the problem no longer exists, then you had something stuck in the impeller (what you are calling a prop) and it came out.
