98 GTi Troubleshooting

need advice on trouble shooting , was running fine then just quit. changed sparkplugs and verified is getting spark , but seems like no fuel. Is there a common area that plugs ? where to start looking , Thanks in advance

carbs will clog up, fuel selector will cog, as well...change the grey fuel lines, and gl thru the carbs and selector...problems will diminish

ok, took off the selector valve , clean and clear, cleaned out the filter bowl and screen, was full of fuel , no evidence of water. now when cranking the engine , fuel is not pumping to refill the filter bowl. Is the fuel pump in the tank electric (i see two wires going into the baffle), is there a fuse ? shouldnt it push the fuel up when cranked, thanks, Tom

your fuel pump is on the front carb. Need to pull carbs off and gothru them, along with, make sure yuo screwed the white filter catch, on correctly..sounds like you didnt.
