98 gsx Seadoo starts sometime

I just got a new beeper and it works check all hook ups grounds and all when I put key on sometimes it beeps twice and starts and sometimes it only beeps once when I hit the button no start what could it be help me ?

Strong possibility that the DESS key is not making good contact with the post....so clean the post, wiggle the key around, twist the key, etc....21 year old stuff doesn't always work like new anymore.

I assume the battery is good and all.....blah, blah, etc, etc, etc......

Yea and just put a new post on it but key is still the same key it just takes taking it of and putting it back on like 100 times befor it works
