I've posted here before for a similar issue and have tried changing batteries, mpems and I'm getting power to the selenoid at the back of the ski. So how can I tell if I'm getting power to the mpem or anything up front? When I push the start button nothing is coming on.

Thanks for the help

Tim

Explain more in depth what is not coming on. Is it turning over, info center showing any life?

No Guages, no beep, nothing. Im getting power to the starting selenoid but that's about all I've checked so far.

You can do a search for the free manual on line. On the mpem cable from the back of the ski the power is one of the flat ones on the bottom of the connector. See if you are getting power to the mpem. Also see if you are getting continuity through the starter switch when you press the button. The wires for the switch should be up front high middle below steering column. Start with those two. I'm just trying to remember what I did to check mine. It took me 2 years of asking all kinds of questions to get my yard art running.

Thanks for the help,I'll try that out tomorrow morning. Would the stator cause you to not get power to the gauges? From what I've been reading, this and the pick up may be the culprit.

Thank you again

Tim

Check the 5 amp fuse on the MPEM. If it is blown replace and see if it blows again. 5amp fuse keeps blowing indicates a bad MPEM.
If the fuse is good, I would go to the dess post and check. Dess post could be bad not allowing the MPEM to read the lanyard.

With the lanyard key off push the start button 5 times (I think) and the gauges etc should light up for 30 seconds.
When the wrong lanyard is attached or the MPEM does not recognize the key, it will give one long beep.
With you having power to the solenoid but not to the gauges leads me to the opinion that your dess post is bad because no beep or anything.

Read this thread on how to check dess post:
