98 Challenger

Hi I am new the forums and I just bought a 98 Challenger 1800. The right side motor I think is having some Carb issues. The left runs great, but when I goose it, I need to pull out the choke a little for the right side to run decent. I am assuming that this is a Carb issue. I am thinking it needs adjustment. Am I right on this, or is it something more serious? Thank you for your help

wouldnt say serious, if your somewhat mech. inclined. You need to pull the carbs off and tear apart and go thru them, also, the xcellerator pump, thats built onto the carb. If careful enuf, you can re-use the existing gaskets/o-rings. Few cans of carb cleaner and about 2-3 hrs, and you'll be good to go.

Thank you for your help. I calling a dealer to get a Carb Kit to replace all the gaskets and such. I will go through and clean it. Do you think that I should do the left side while I am ordering the kits. Once again thanks for the help

yeah, do the left side also. When doing the carbs (rebuilding), re-use the same n/s spring inside carb. Dont use the ones from the rebuild pack.
