97xp wrong fuse

Was going through the 97xp that I recently bought and noticed that the 5 amp fuse had been replaced with a 30 amp fuse. What exactly is the 5 amp fuse responsible for and what kind of damage could this have caused that I should keep an eye out for.

Blew my 5v fuse about an hour ago when I accidently hooked up positive to negative battery terminal and then touched the negative cable to battery and it sparked, that's when I realized my mistake. Hooked up properly and then no start, checked 5v fuse and it was blown.

Will put red paint on positive side of battery now, hate that you can hardly make out the - and + on a battery!

That fuse likely protects the mpem and I'd use the right one for sure.
