97seadoo xp diff motor?? help

Ok so I've been looking for parts for my. Xp and I came acorss a few for sale ... so I was checking em out the pics I mean and the motor looks diff then mine ... for sum reason the head were the spark plugs bolt in is blue and doesn't say anything... I started to look all say bombardier on the motor in white ... mine isn't like that ... do I have a difff motor or sumthing ???

You could have an aftermarket head. Also... the 97 was the only year of the "Spring Seat" XP's that used the 800 engine.

thanx yea i kne about the motor being a diff motor year wise but i mean even the same year xp as mine has the white head .. mine is blue .. is a after market part better or worsT?

no such thing as "Better or worse"... it's different, and will do something different. Since the ski is new to you... I would pull it off, and check the size of the domes. You could have a very high compression head, that will require premium fuel.
