I am new to Jet Skis i still have the post about the accelerator pump, I hooked up the battery today and tried to turn it over. It will try with the plugs out but in it will sit and barely crank and with my accelerator pump the scoop with that is last year i took it out put it in the water it started ok and i tried taking off and it was really boggy n then it died. When i tried to restart it it would just sit and try to crank but would never turn all over. I took it to my local dealer and they rebuilt the carbs and told me it was ready to go so i take it out and it does the exact same thing they said I need a new accelerator pump. I dont know what to do. I need help please!!

Your post is a bit confusing - mixing accelerator pump language with cranking and turning over. IF your engine does not turn over, or crank - so that it could start - that inidcates a weak battery (or bad starter). The job of the starter motor is to crank, or turn-over the engine - so it can start. If the engine is turning over but not starting, this is a fuel/mixture problem. The choke must be used to start a cold engine. If the engine turns over (cranks) with the plugs out (no compression), but will not crank with plugs in, this is still an indication of a weak battery or bad starter. My 1998 SeaDoo GS models are both still cranking fine on the original starters - as long as the batteries are strong. The accelerator pump only comes into play when trying to TAKE OFF - from start, when idling - mainly when the engine is still cold. THIS IS WHERE MY problem comes in, with both Ski's; I can get the engines running, but they don't want to take off without stalling - until the motors get warmed up for 1-2 minutes. I have just pulled one CARB off to repair the accelerator pump - but saw nothing wrong with it. I put in the NEW DIAPHRAGM anyway, since I had it out. So, this is the best I can do for you - you need strong battery to crank the engine with compression, and you need partial choke to get it started once it is cranking. The choke will have to be backed off pretty quickly once the engine is started (not all at once). Good luck.
