Hello all,
I have 2 97 XP's that I got about a month apart 3 years ago. After I got the 2nd one I pretty much only road the second one and the wife or a friend would always drive the first one I got. because of this I'm unsure if it always had a lack of low end power or if it happened some time after I owned it. It just doesn't pull your shoulders out like my other one does. I have swapped to an entirely freshly rebuilt set of carbs, swapped raves and cleaned the originals as well. Compression is 150/150. I believe I checked rotary timing but can't recall now as I have been trying things randomly over the past couple years. Also, it is not revving like it's cavatating or anything, it just can't get out of its own way until what seems like maybe when the raves open up. Once you get passed that, it is pretty much identical top speed as my
Other one and if you keep the RPMs up it doesn't really feel much different. One other thing I'll mention is there is definitely a noticible vibration compared to my other. Seems to be all through the RPM range. Thanks for any ideas that folks may have!
