My SPX fires right up, idles nicely, although a bit high, as when I hook up water line when it's on trailer, I have to shut it off because it will just keep revving up faster.
The engine handles smoothly at mid-range RPM's, but has a serious hesitation when giving it the throttle at most any RPM range, but when it kicks in, you best be holding on. I've also noticed it sputters briefly if not planed off well, or after going over a big wake/waves. It has new plugs, but I'm not a carb. mechanic - anything I could or should be looking for or just take it into Seadoo dealer and let them fine tune it?
BTW, we bought these with the idea that my wife would always ride the SPX and me on the GTI, but that's changed after I finally drove the SPX - she can't have it back...reminds me of a motocross bike on the water....
