97 Seadoo spx HELP

I picked up this ski last year for about 1300$ seller said it runs and floats. Took it to the lake and the first thing I noticed is these ports (in photos) has no line connected to it but it starts and drives. Is it an overflow port? Every time I give it throttle, gas shoots out the port. Other thing I noticed is tons of oil is shooting out of the exhaust! I also noticed the oil pump line is slightly off! Why would that cause so much oil to pour out if it not off by ALOT

If theres gasoline shooting inside the hull while the engine is running, its probably the fuel return line that got disconnected from the carburettor. Are you sure its oil pouring from the exhaust?

I ran the ski at the lake and it was doing good, fast speeds as well. I just didn't feel safe running it with gas spraying everywhere! And I noticed the oil as well. But video is up

Still hard to see whats that gasoline leaking barb. it should be the PTO carb return outlet, but it looks like a strange, blocky thing, pointing the wrong way. It kinda reminds me of a outboard fuel line connector. It would be best to dissassemble the air intake so we can get a closer look. You move fast!! Ok! now I'm 90% sure that's not the stock 38mm carb duo. That is likely the larger 40mm duo that came after model 1997 on the larger 787 engines that have and accelerator pump: the front carb has the fuel pump and it feeds itself and the rear carb too. The rear carb has the accelerator-pump, that is mounted kinda of the side of it. Im familiar to my single-carb setup, and that one has a thinner hose that links that squirting output back to the carb body itself. I would think on your dual carb setup they split that output into two, to feed that gasoline shot to both carbs.

Setting aside the absurdity of flipping a ticking time bomb for a ski for a moment, if the previous owner actually tuned those carbs with that entire accelerator shot going directly to waste, and the skii was actually responsive: With the accelerator shot reconnected, you should feel some rich-hesitation. If so, you will need to close the low-speed adjusters on both carbs, 1/8 at the time until the engine (hopefully) becomes responsive again.

P.S.: Since you've just bought this thing and you are in the middle of the winter, it would be a good idea to take apart those carbs, figure out what exactly you got (carb throat size, high/low Jets, needle seats, needle springs) and rebuild it with fresh mikuni kits, new fuel filter, fuel hoses if necessary. Also, did you check the compression on this engine?

Fuel leaks are not good. Don't ride it. Looks like an accelerator pump not connected to me. You need to look into the why. Good Luck !!
