97 Sea-Doo gtx 787 oil leak

Need ideas on what went wrong today. I have oil leaking at the front of the motor. It’s dripping from where the pump is. Doesn’t look like it’s any of the lines but dripping down the front of motor and off of what I assume is the pump. It was steadily dripping when I pulled it out of water and quite a bit of oil in Hull. Any help on what to look for would be great. Gonna look at it tomorrow.

That would be where the air bleed screw is on the front of the pump so check that first.

Ok I think I may have found it. Can this pump be removed some what easy. The plate on top with the two screws is totally loose. I’m guessing that is my problem but having hard time reaching the back one! Can I remove the two Allen bolts to pop it off a little to help me out?

Yes just make sure the o-ring is ok and the plastic drive gear goes back in place.

Does the gear come out to or stay in place

It should stay inside the cover.

Welp out on the water today. So the top two screws on the pump were the problem. No oil leaking....yet lol
