My 97 gtx keeps loosing power in the upper rpms over 1/2 throttle. It will rev fine at first, then it will bog down, then the power will come back, then it will bog again. It will continue to do it in that pattern. I tried to replaceing the plugs and fuel filter and it still does the same. Anyone know what it could be? I'm thinking maybe something to do with the carbs?

I'd start with the carbs and fuel lines. Change out the lines if they are the pld gray type with black fuel hose. Clean out carbs paying attention to the internal filters.

Thanks for the reply. Is there a kit you can buy to change out the gray fuel lines, or do you just get some black line from the auto parts store?

Take a sample of fuel line with you...Go to like Auto Zone and buy the same size Fuel line. about 18' should do it with some extra. Replace the clamps with stainless steel ones too while your at it if you need them.
Remember to clean the carbs too. Use spray Carb cleaner to clean all the passages too. The fuel lines deteriorate from the inside out.

Thanks for the info. Yeah im deff gonna pull the carbs off and give them a good cleaning.

Also, not sure if its a common thing or not but my fuel gauge stopped working last year. It wont light up any blocks at all and the low level warning isnt on either.
