hi i have a 97 GTX with a 787 that i just rebuilt. i have done a few seadoo engines and carbs before so i consider myself comfortable with these motors. The ski ran beautiful after installation and i put 2 hours on it, but it was taking in water around the impeller shaft. i repaired that and directly after when i went to ride it it wouldnt go over 3500-4000 rpm and ran rough, like it was only on one cylinder. It had water in the rear box befor and took out the solenoid. I wonder if the ignition coil could be bad and causing it to run like this. The problem seemed right after i shut it down to repair the leak. I hope and dont think its mechanical as it still has a ton of compression and oil and fuel to each cylinder. Can someone tell me if this coil getting wet is a common problem? thanks
