97 gtx cranks but no spark

edit i fixed beeper and found correct keys
97 GTX,
with correct key, it cranks, but no spark.
Battery is new and fully charged


any ideas?

check voltage at the coil during cranking. You could have a bad pick up on the mag. My pick up checked good but I had metal shavings on the magnet which prevented the pick up from detecting the trigger point on the flywheel. Not sure a rectifer will cause a no spark but you could replace that. Good Luck with it.

i checked all the connections front and back electric box, cleaned up grounds, in rear box, checked coil impedence, and whether signal was getting to coil both checked good, then cleaned up corrosion around the coil connections, engine finally fired up and ran on hose till i shut it off

finally alive, now to button up reverse cable, clean inside bilge, and a few other cosmetic issues
then water test
