97 gsx wont crank over

I picked up this 97 GSX a few weeks back, wasnt running due to a dead battery and blown 15amp fuse in the rear box. Jumped the starter before buying and the compression was great. It had sat for a year, both cylinders had a lot of oil in them. Brought it home, got it to crank over with no plugs in so I could get the oil out of the cylinders. Cylinders are pretty much clear now, very little if any oil comes out when I turn it over with the plugs out. So I put the plugs in, no go. Wont turn over with the plugs in, the starter just clicks. Hooked it up to a jump box and same deal, just clicks with the plugs in. So I figured the starter much be shot, it looked like a cheapie ebay unit. Bought a new starter, which came today. Put it in, put the plugs in and it turned over a couple times then went right back to just clicking. It cranks super fast with no plugs but just kinda clicks along with plugs in. If i hold the start button itll got click....click....click...etc. So what else could it possibly be? Cleaned all the cable connections, battery is good, even tried the one out of my other ski, starter is brand new. Could it be the solenoid? Thanks for reading my long post, someone please help me

starter

yes try to jump the solenoid put a screw driver on each little bolt on the sides of it with the key dss in and touch the two screwdrivers together dont touch the metal

starter

it is in the black box that the spark plug wires go into if it starts then that was the problem
but the oil in the cylnders could be a rotary valve seal gone bad

Ok, it cranks now. Went out and bought a new battery. Appearently the battery in my SPi will start that ski but not the GSX, weird. Anyway, it cranks now but wont fire. Got spark, got fuel, not sure what else it could be

Could be lots of things...

1) Replace the gray fuel lines

2) Be sure you replace the gray fuel lines

3) The fuel selector switch may be cloged with the gunk from the gray fuel lines

4) carburators most likley have gunk in them from gray fuel lines; clean and rebuild if needed.. There are little filters in the carbs that get gunked up from the gray fuel lines..

I think you get the general idea.. To see if it starts put a little pre-mix into the carbs, it should fire if everything else is working.. Does the DSS give you a beeps???

Grey lines have been replaced. I'm thinkin possibly the fuel selector is shot, looks nasty where the lines go in. It would prolly be wise of me to atleast clean the carbs if not rebuild them. Is there any way to check that the rotory valve is shot without disassembling the motor?
