Hello,
I took my machines out last Saturday for a quick ride. To make a long story short, during the lauching of my XP, and being stupid
I had the drain plugs open on the gsx from loading it up previously. It sat for about 2-3 minutes before I realized what I had done. Opened the seat and it had water up to the top of the drive shaft shield (whatever it is formally called).
Being panicked as you can imagine, I got my butt back to the truck and pulled everything out of the water and let the water drain from the gsx. As soon as it was drained, I fired it up. Without hesitation, it fired right up like a champ.
So, being a bit paranoid, I decided to put the plugs in and take it for a quick burn back and forth for about 5-10 minutes to let the bailers get the rest of the water out and make sure the machine ran normal still. Got it all loaded back up, everything seemed perfectly normal thus far. Took the VTS cover and electrical box cover off and lubed everything with bombardier lube, along with a light coat across various metal parts and cables under there.
My question to the experts, would you say I covered most or all my bases here or should I worry about anything else? Thanks in advance for any help.
