97 gsx is it running properly

hi can anyone tell me what is a 97 gsx surposed to rev to? and when it is in the water it seams to run normal with full throtle but when it is out of water anything over half throttle makes it blow smoke and not rev out properly? is this normall?

out of water, around 1/2 throttle, your hit'n the rev limiter. Check out your other "thread".
