I just changed all my grey lines out and rebuilt the carbs. When I was cleaning the carbs, I pulled out the mixture screws and found both carburators were set totally different, mainly the high speed mixture screw. One was at 1/8th of a turn out and the other was at 1 1/4 turns out. Where should I start as a baseline for tuning with the L and H screws? I live in Reno NV so the lakes around here are about 5000 feet above sea level and the motor is stock. Thank you in advance!

:) Save some trouble and have it lake tuned by a professional...

Seadoosnipe, Kustomkarl, or Timmyboy should have more to add when they log on...

my 2 pennies

factory settings are..lows/1, high/mag=0,pto=1/2

problem you might run into, is having a "stock" impellor, and not a "altitude" impellor.

Give those settings a shot, and see what happens. If anything, you'll flood it, since air is "less". From what i've heard/read..to compensate for altitude, is, run an altitude impellor, "deck" the head slightly, and this will help eliminate the "jetting" portion.

I'd try it out first, and any problems, i'd get the impellor (but only problem is, if you take to sea-level/above it a little), then you got same problem. Guess you can keep both of'em, then have impellor removal tool, and swap out. But then, i'd mess with jetting b4 deck'n the head..
