Hey guys, hope all are well, I've been looking at the candoo pro module as my speedo isnt working (paddle wheel not working) does anybody know if this would fit/work on my 97 gsx 800? And are they any good?
Thanks in advance.

I've been looking at this for my 96. I believe it will work on your ski. There are two versions; two wire and three wire, the three wire is for those that have lake temperature as an option in the info center. Others on the forum have reported good results, while some complain of slow update time. I'd love to try one but don't want to part with the coin for it.

Nice one, thanks for the info. It is quite expensive but think its better than the paddle wheel and cheaper. I will order one and see what it its like. Thanks again for your reply.

Definitely better than the paddle wheel for sure. If you don't mind, how about reporting back on how it worked out for you, you know the good and the bad.

I have them on a couple skis and they work great. So cool that they can read through the thick hull. Back in the day I had one that required me to drill a hole in the hood and mount a GPS sensor.

Please tell us more about it. Is it a replacement for the info centers when they go bad?

It sends a signal just like the paddle wheel did but now it's GPS accurate. The guy made a thing that pics up the sat signal through the hull. I never have epoxied mine in I just found a place to wedge it where it faces upward. He gives you a magnet that you calibrate with. I have not used them with digital speedometers.

He makes it with the Weatherpak connector so you only have to plug it in, hook the red and black loops to the + and -, then calibrate.

Yeah, when I get mines I will let yous know how it is.
Rabid, its purely for the speedo, my paddle wheel sensor is not working, therefore I'm not getting a speed reading, the gps sensor just plugs in where the paddlewheel plugs in. Great idea.

I know this is a year later, been having some issues with the ski so not had it out until now so just reporting back on this device,
Great device, very easy to install and set up and the manual is clear.
On the water it takes a split second to give out a reading but is consistent unlike the paddle wheel which only works if the ski is in the water ( every time the ski jumps out the water the paddle wheel doesn't spin and therefore the reading is always up and down.)
But yeah, all in all a great little device, only down side is that it's quite expensive for what it is.
