97 GSX advice

600 is a good price for that ski but remember there is a possibility of another 1500 ish and some wrench turning if the motor is toast along with other miscellanious things, fuel lines, carbs, oil lines jet pump etc worst case scenario.

Hopefully it only needs a few reg maintenance items and fix the leak and $400-500 and a way you go.

I bought mine, with performance upgrades, K&N flamers, coffman pipe, rev limiter and sponons. The engine had a bad rotery gear, came with trailer all for $350.

That's a great deal especially if you know how to fix it. Typically modded ski will catch less then normal dollars around here, there isnt a big market for them. A running 97 GSX in average condition will sell for $3000 ish in June/July around here.

Next November I should get an 18 wheeler and load it up with those $350 deals and bring them here.

Not sure if you are aware of the grey fuel line problem or not, but make sure you replace them if they are still on the ski. My 96 GSX carbs got pulled up because of those grey lines. Just throwing it out there for ya. :)

LOL Kicker I was thinking the same thing!! I have access to an 18 wheeler if you can drive!!

Chills, did you make a deal on that GSX?
Get the guy to bring it to Hamilton and I will deliver it for you tomorrow, I am off to Windsor in the morning for hockey provincials.

No I have not been able to go see it. He can't do this weekend and I can't do next weekend and during the week is out of the question. But I do have a week off in March and if it is still available I will go see it and potentially buy it. He has it in storage (not his place of residence).
LOL that would be nice if he dropped it off to you! Have a safe drive and good luck!!

Just an update, the ski is sold :banghead: I took to long. I should have just bought it the day I heard about it.
