97 gsi info needed

Hello there from what I see u are def the people to ask questions if u see my posts I had a couple of issues with my ski buy I got it running runs good but water tested it and to stay running I had to pull the choke lever half put and hold it there when I would go to open it up I would hit it push the choke in and it would scream ran great but going back to idle again I would have to pull the choke halfway out again I'm kinda puzzled is it a carb adjustment or a carb rebuild needed any help would be greatfully appreciated

Don’t run it any more like that. I’d say full rebuild with oem kit. If your pulling the choke it’s running lean and will toast your topend. Check the carb rebuild thread . Especially the part about spraying out the 3 small holes in the carb throat. Replace needles and seats also. Reuse the black spring from your carb . Follow the rebuild thread to a tee and you should be good to go. Also replace the fuel selector with oem.

Low speed 1 and high 1 1/2. Low speed is lower on your carb as far as location and high speed has a plastic cap if it hasn’t been removed . They are on opposite sides.

Awesome and which rebuild kit is best I see u guys saying stay away from the eBay ones use the oem kits any particular you would recommend and also who puts out the best fuel selector
